Love at First Sight and Musical Inspiration
Chasing Dreams and Facing Challenges
At the end of 2020, I was motivated and determined to bring out some original songs just to find a girl I actually don’t know anything about. I don’t know her name, her age, where she lives, or anything about her. But one thing I’m sure of, it was love at first sight. Like my best friend said, “thank you to her for pushing me, making my own music, and having these incredible imagination” (Hope I’ll find her).
So I took my laptop and went to my best friend’s house. We started working on some notes which led to some awesome chords and a beautiful melody.
For me, making music is a way to escape reality and also take out all the emotions and fear out of my chest.
At a time I was feeling low, maybe because of the lack of support or scared that my family starts reminding me every time that I’m wasting all my efforts, time, money, or most importantly, that I don’t make my grandparents who are no longer here proud of their little grandson.
Life is very tough, especially when you don’t have many people behind you to catch you when you fall. I used to have my best friend for a time, and now it’s like we are strangers. My Uncle who was always here now doesn’t have enough time for himself. And that’s when it starts to hurt the most.
Inspiration
But I managed to be accompanied because whenever I was feeling down, I’d just play some songs by THE CHAINSMOKERS or this band called BROADSIDE, or I’d just watch this show called TEEN WOLF over and over again.
Foolish Believer: Navigating Dreams and Solitude
I am very inspired by these ARTISTS/ACTORS/ACTRESSES. Seeing them on screen is a way for me to continue believing even when there is no hope left.
I always consider myself as a FOOLISH BELIEVER, a title I got from one of the songs by BROADSIDE. (They’re amazing) and the song is just woww. (It’s like I can see myself in the lyrics). Foolish Believer because everything I always wanted was impossible. Have you ever heard of someone searching for a girl by making a song for her? (I’m this guy)
I tried building up a band a hundred times with some friends, but they were not into it like I am. So I’m solo for now.
